Recently, experts have been discussing the possibility of a magnitude 9-class Nankai Trough Earthquake occurring in the Shikoku region of Japan. In fact, in 1946, the Showa Nankai Earthquake occurred in Wakayama Prefecture, resulting in a magnitude 8 earthquake that caused 1,300 deaths. It has been nearly 80 years since a major earthquake occurred, and it is said that a magnitude 9-class earthquake could happen at any time. ✨✨

It is believed to be likely to occur within 100-150 years!

Moreover, the Showa Nankai Earthquake happened in 1946, but two years earlier in 1944, a magnitude 8.1 earthquake also occurred!

If a Nankai Trough Earthquake occurs, it is said that a large earthquake may happen again after the initial earthquake, so it is necessary to be cautious of aftershocks after the main quake ends. ✨✨

In recent memory, the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred in Fukushima Prefecture is the largest earthquake in Japanese history, with a magnitude of 9.1. It is predicted that the Nankai Trough Earthquake could also bring high tsunamis to the coastal areas of Shikoku, and increase the water level in Dotonbori, Osaka, causing damage to the city.
